1.
Removing the Lower Engine Cover
This cover has seven Philip screw heads.
This cover also has the access door to the oil pan plug. Remove
the whole cover.
If the front fender liners (ahead of the
wheels) have not been completely removed, do so now. SAVE the hex
head screws--they will be used with the M5 Front Fender Liners.

2. Removal of the
Brake Air Channels
There are several screws to remove. SAVE
all the screws. We will be using them to bolt on the M5 Brake Air
Channel. If the M5 Brake Air Channel is missing some Clamps (51
71 8 176 503) that allow the screws to tap into, remove as many
as needed. Set the stock channel aside. Top

3. Removal of 2 clips
from the Stock Bumper
There are 2 clips that need to be removed
from the stock bumper. They are located at the periphery/ends of
the bumper. The lateral most screw from the front wheel liner screws
into this position. Remove and place onto the M5 Front Bumper into
the same position. Top

4. Trimming of the
Front Air Duct Rubber Box
Using a razor blade, cut away the rubber
trim around this air duct box otherwise the rubber will fold and
will become visible once the M5 front bumper is installed.
Clean out the leaves, cigarette butts, and
other debris from the radiator area. After the M5 Front Bumper goes
on, these areas will no longer be accessible without taking off
the whole bumper. Top

5. Removal of
the Headlight System
There are 4 bolts that hold the headlight
assembly to the engine frame. The top two are hex head screws that
require an 8mm socket bit. The lower two require a small Torx bit
on a screwdriver handle. I don't know the size.
Unplug all the connections. Remove the unit
by pulling the side near the middle of the car outwards to the side
of the car.
Place aside in a safe place. Top
